Bajaj Platina KS (kick start) is one of the most popular bikes in the Commuter Segment in Bangladesh. As a fuel saving bike it is still on the list. It is still the standard biker’s first choice as the market value and mileage of Bangladesh and India. There are two versions of Bajaj Platina in Bangladesh, one of which is Platina ES (Electric Start) and the other is Platina KS (Kick Start). Some modern benefits have been added to ES, which are not available in KS, and there are some differences in their prices also.
- At the end of 2019, Bajaj Platina ES and Platina KS both price reduced heavily in Bangladesh, and also major changes came on both versions. Now Platina comes with a well refined new DTSI engine, LED DRL and also new graphics. In Bangladesh point of view 'Bajaj Platina ES' is a perfect entry level bike.
- There is no noticeable change to this bike at the beginning of 2021. But Its retail price has changed in the Bangladeshi market.
Bajaj used the 102 cc engine in this bike, which is Air Cooling, Single cylinder, 2-valve, DTS-I with Exhaust TEC. Its maximum power is 8 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and maximum torque is 8.6 Nm @ 5000 rpm. It is known as the one of the biggest fuel saving bikes in the world. Bajaj claims it is able to cross the highway 90 kilometers per liter and the city 75 kilometers per liter.
